David V Llewellyn #Kudos You always find a way to do fantastic work #GreatJob
Shout out to David Llewellyn, Dobson & Hodge Insurance broker team, based in Doncaster. (Tel.01302 323465 ).
They consistently provide a 1st class service, year on year, keeping our insurance cover high and costs low, and I would happily recommend David and his team, to all my contacts in the South Yorkshire / Midlands area.
In the age of the internet, people forget the traditional benefits of having a insurance broker service, which offers shortlisting of suitable market insurance products, ensuring cover is in the right areas, and co-ordinating any claims made

Thank you to Ian Woods of Lavender International (NDT) Consultancy Services Ltd for taking time to write this #kudos support on Linkedin

Keep Britain Tidy 3rd weekend litter pick #100ActsOfKindness

3 Directors from D&H did their bit on Sunday to support the last day of the Keep Britain Tidy #GBSpringclean by litter picking in the heat around Doncaster Lakeside.
Finished in time for the football and plenty more bags collected. ANOTHER OF THEIR #100ActsOfKindness.
It is not difficult to spot the difference between the before and after picture.

2 more #100ActsOfKindness with Doncaster Litter Picks

MEMBERS OF THE D&H TEAM INCLUDING OUR MD TIM AUSTIN JOINED DONCASTER ROTARY ON THE FIRST TWO OF THEIR 3 LITTERPICKS ORGANISED AROUND #GBSPRINGCLEAN.

The fist litter pick was just off Bawtry Road and this was a copse that a previous Director ‘Andrew Goffin’ helped to plant and nurture. These activities all count towards our #100ActsOfKindness

It was hot going in Hexthorpe Park on Saturday 5th June but the hard work of Tim, Andrew, Dianne, Georgia and David helped to collect all sorts of rubbish from this lovely park.

Final weekend litter pick is this Sunday around Lakeside so why not do your bit locally to KEEP BRITAIN TIDY

#GB Spring Clean supported by D&H

Dobson and Hodge Ltd are proudly supporting the #doncasterspringclean as part of the 3 weeks #GBSpringclean organised by Keep Britain Tidy.

The first of the litter picks is on Friday afternoon and we will post picture of the rubbish bags collected from Bawtry Road near the Dome.

The copse near to the race course was helped to be planted and tended by an ex-Director of D&H and Doncaster Rotarian, Mr Andrew Goffin and we hope he would be happy with our #100ActsOfKindness efforts.

Cash for Kids: Marathon in our lunchtime #100ActsOfKindness

Rachel, Julie and Annette doing a great job

The fantastic team at D&H spent their Friday lunchtime (14th May) walking far more than a Marathon between them in aid of Cash for Kids.

The good people of Doncaster were very generous as were the friends and family of the Dobson and Hodge staff.

So far to the total collected for this superb cause is £885 and is another of our #100ActsOfKindness in celebration of our centenary.

As the post Covid world opens up, the team will be back on with acts of kindness to make the world a better place.

CIVIL LIABILITY ACT 2021

In October 2015 the then Chancellor George Osbourne announced an intention to “ban whiplash claims” due to perceived consumer harm from their impact on motor insurance premiums. The aim was to de-incentivise whiplash claims, deter fraud, and reduce motor insurance premiums.

These reforms come into force on 31 May 2021 and apply to low value RTA whiplash claims occurring on or after 31 May 2021.
What the changes are:
Qualifying claims will be pursued via a new online portal – the Official Injury Claims portal (OIC). Claimants will access and manage their claim through the OIC and insurers will have 30 days to make a liability decision.
There is no ‘ban’ on RTA whiplash claims but the reforms do ban offers on qualifying whiplash claims without medical evidence. The introduction of tariff damages (for injuries up to 24 months duration) will reduce compensation and the cost of these claims.

There will be two tariffs – one for whiplash only, and a second for whiplash plus “minor psychological injury” (yet to be defined):
 A “whiplash injury” has been formally defined. We’ve assessed the applicable scope of the change to be approximately 80% of current RTA injury claims.
 The Small Claims Track limit for RTA injury claims will increase from £1,000 to £5,000 (subject to certain exemptions), meaning legal costs are no longer payable on claims up to the value of £5,000, and therefore ought to be less attractive to fraudsters, claimant solicitors and claims management companies.
 The Small Claims Track limit for EL/PL injury claims (currently £1,000) won’t change at this time, but Government has indicated it will increase to £1,500 from April 2022.
